Oasis Fans Slam Ticketmaster for Price Hikes, Long Waits, and Errors During Reunion Tour Ticket Sales

Oasis fans eagerly anticipating the band’s highly awaited reunion tour faced frustration while trying to purchase tickets online.

After overwhelming demand prompted the British rock legends to add three new stadium dates, fans flooded social media to vent about Ticketmaster’s long queues, glitches, and sudden ticket price surges, with some tickets jumping by £200.

“How is this even allowed? Standing tickets were £150, and now they’re £356 because they’re ‘in demand’? Absolute robbery!” one fan posted on X. Another questioned the legality of the practice: “How is this not illegal?”

Adding a humorous touch to the chaos, a group of fans recreated the band’s iconic Definitely Maybe album cover, posing frantically with multiple computer screens in their hunt for tickets. "Waiting in the queue for Oasis tickets like..." they captioned the post.

This uproar mirrors similar backlash Ticketmaster faced during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour pre-sale in 2022, which crashed the site and led to legal action. The U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit against Ticketmaster and Live Nation in 2023, accusing them of stifling competition and inflating prices.

For Oasis fans, the situation was no less frustrating. “Eight hours in the queue, constant crashes, accused of being a bot, suspended sessions, and price jumps over 300%,” one user lamented. “How does this website still hold a monopoly?”

Some fans joked about drastic measures. One shared an unsent DM to Liam Gallagher threatening to remind him of past grievances if they couldn’t get tickets: “Remember all the bad stuff your brother said about you?”

The Oasis Live ’25 Tour, kicking off in July 2025 in Cardiff, marks 15 years since the group disbanded after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher’s infamous feud escalated mid-tour in 2009. At the time, Noel announced his departure, saying, “I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

While fans are excited for the comeback, Ticketmaster’s controversial handling of ticket sales has cast a shadow over the reunion buzz.
